Introduction

The Lincoln Center began life as the OB-GYN practice of Dr. Dan Tappen in 1950. A short time later Dr. Bill Roy and Dr. Jimmie A. Gleason joined him. Over time, as more physicians joined the group, the clinical structure changed. Therefore, in 1974 a professional association was formed called the Lincoln Center OB-GYN, P.A.

Since this time we have continued to expand steadily and are now one of the largest OB-GYN medical practices in NE Kansas. We currently have 8 doctors, 4 advanced registered nurse practitioners including two certified nurse midwives, 24 nurses and 21 other medical and administrative professionals serving Topeka and the surrounding area from two locations. Our central Topeka site is near both Stormont Vail and St. Francis hospitals at 800 SW Lincoln Street. We also have an office in Mission Woods Medical Center at 2830 SW Urish Road.

In addition to our two Topeka locations we offer OB-GYN clinics for women in Holton, Horton, Seneca, Sabetha, Burlington and Hiawatha. For more information about these clinics simply click on the name of the town.

In a typical year at the Lincoln Center we deliver more than 1600 babies and keep more than 25,000 patient appointments. We feel the reason so many women choose the Lincoln Center is because we strive to provide the finest, most up-to-date medical care available. Our aim is to take advantage of latest advances in both medical procedures and equipment while treating our patients with the respect, compassion and dignity they deserve.

We offer full gynecological services including yearly exams, family planning, obstetrics and major surgery. Our obstetrical care includes office and hospital visits, delivery and postpartum care. We also provide other services including urogynecology, ultrasound, bone density scans and fertility counseling.
