Midwives and ARNP's

Certified Midwives and ARNP’s are registered nurses who have completed advanced training and are qualified to function independently. They are qualified to perform physical examinations, perform and order diagnostic tests, develop and carry out treatment programs and counsel patients. They can also prescribe medications. Nurse-midwives and ARNP’s offer in-office individual attention and support for ante partum, postpartum and well-woman gynecologic patients.

At the Lincoln Center we have three advanced registered nurse practitioners:

Rebecca M. Otte, CNM, MSN – Ms. Otte is a certified Nurse-Midwife. She completed her RN at Washburn University and her MS in Nursing at Case Western Reserve University. She has been with the Lincoln Center since 1995 – the same year she completed her Midwife certification. In addition to her office duties, Ms. Otte has privileges at both St. Francis and Stormont Vail hospitals and attends patients during labor and delivery. She is currently a member of the Adjunct Faculty of the Kansas University School of Midwifery and is Chapter Chair of the Kansas Chapter of the American College of Nurse Midwifes. In 2006 she received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the American College of Nurse Midwives Foundation.
